The hajj will be held under special measures this year

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said in a statement that this year’s hajj pilgrimage will be held under special conditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Saudi Arabia has put an end to reports that it may not take pilgrims from abroad this year as part of measures it has taken.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that this year’s hajj pilgrimage will be held under special conditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The statement said the pilgrimage will be held under special measures to protect the health and safety of pilgrims, and that the pilgrimage will be carried out in a safe environment. Measures and conditions for the hajj are expected to be announced in detail in the coming days.

“Health authorities in the kingdom continue to assess the situation and are taking all measures to ensure the safety of everyone,” a ministry spokesman said.

Last year, Saudi Arabia accepted only a limited number of pilgrims from within the country for the hajj pilgrimage due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
