NASA, SpaceX astronauts delayed landing on Earth

The American Aerospace Administration (NASA) and SpaceX have decided to postpone the landing of four astronauts on NASA’s Crew-1 mission until May 1 due to poor weather conditions in the area of the landing strip in the Atlantic ocean.

Four astronauts were launched from Florida to the International Space Station (ISS) on April 15 aboard a Falcon 9 rocket as part of space transportation company SpaceX’s first Crew-1 space mission for NASA, owned by the American Aerospace Administration (NASA) and world-renowned entrepreneur Elon Musk.

Crew-1 astronauts including Mike Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker and Japan Space Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Soichi Noguchi, who arrived on the ISS a day after launch, were scheduled to return to Earth today.

NASA and SpaceX have decided to postpone the landing of four astronauts on NASA’s Crew-1 mission until May 1 due to poor weather conditions in the area of the landing strip in the Atlantic ocean, NASA announced.

“NASA and SpaceX have agreed to postpone crew-1’s departure and landing until after Wednesday, April 28, following a review of forecast weather conditions in landing sites off the Coast of Florida, where wind speeds are currently above recovery criteria,” NASA said in a statement.

The landing date has been postponed until May 1 and weather conditions will be monitored until landing day, NASA said.
