Following clubhouse’s exit during the pandemic, almost all social media platforms announced that they had started work to provide live audio streaming. Twitter is also counting down the days to get Spaces up and running. The social media platform is already testing its new feature.
Twitter announced on its blog that any user with 600 or more Twitter followers will be able to join Twitter Spaces starting today.
Twitter Spaces is a voice speech tool that the social media platform began testing late last year. The platform aims to extend this feature to more and more users.
NOT AN INDEPENDENT APPLICATION
Spaces are very similar to the Clubhouse. But there are also some differences. For example, instead of being a standalone app, Spaces is a feature that comes to Twitter.
Spaces, which is currently live, appears at the top of the app along with Fleets. Also, this feature is only available in Twitter’s mobile app.
TICKET SALES IN SPACES
Twitter has made several more announcements about future features for Twitter Spaces: In the coming months, users will be able to sell tickets to events taking place in Spaces. Users will also be able to schedule Spaces chats in advance and set reminders to alert followers when an event in Spaces is about to start.
